I refer to an episode of the Simpsons where Lisa answers this question by referring to the ancient Chinese explanation, explaining it is not about the tree and the forest but explaining a wise Chinese take on life. Does anyone who knows of this episode remember exactly how Lisa explains this, I can't find the true meaning of this proverb anywhere but remember her explanation was perfect. Thanks

  1. Sorry..no.

  2. It is a matter of perception. The conscious observes the reality about based upon a criterion programmed within the subconscious. Sensitivity to the incidental occurrence happening about us are mentally absorbed in different ways.

There are many horrors occurring at this time in our immediate surroundings and the world at large. We are not conscious of these incidents because our minds unattuned from waves of information that may bring to the for of our conscious such tragedies or suffering.

Perception determines whether we see the world as a haven of good souls playing at lifes adventures and taking calamities in their stride, or a universe plagued with deep emotional trauma, unimaginable pain and torture, and abuse and assault of many within their own homes.

If one were dying of heartache or torment in your midst how many are able to acknowledge the tragidrama.
