If a war broke down between Russia and America?

If there was a war between Russia and America who would win. and remember they can not use nuclear bombs.

we have really good technology and weapons, i mean so does Russia, but our army isn't that strong but our marines have never lost a fight and will never give up, there hasn't been one war we haven't won with our marines involved, America would win

Nobody would win.  Each nation would do a lot of damage to the other, and to itself.  In the end nobody would win, nothing much would change.  That's the main reason that we haven't had such a war.

See, there is your problem, you take nuclear bombs out of the equation.  Each time one side gets attacked or wounded, they are going to do something more to compensate.  Eventually, it might include the use of a nuclear bomb.  Learn from history.  The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, killed thousands.  We struck back by blowing up Hiroshima.  To sum up my answer to your question, no one wins here.

Are you kidding?  Russia would get spanked.  However, they'd get a few good licks in before it was all said and done.  So I just pray this stays as only a hypothetical question.

We both have a wonderful array of chemical and biological weapons to use. Let's take them out of the equation too.

What you would have is a big conventional war. Much would depend on what allies each has. Supply lines would mean everything in such a war. We are vulnerable. We depend on imported goods including imported food and imported oil. Russia makes more of it's own goods and pumps more of its own oil. If the Chinese were on our side we would have a good shot holding them off. If the Chinese were on Russias team we would be in a very dangerous situation.

If you take into account NATO and the SCO I'd have to go with America. There are far more soldiers in NATO combined then there are in the SCO and many of them are far more well equipped.

When I refer to the SCO I am excluding observer states.

The USA would not win. Heck! We can't even beat the poorly trained insurgents in the middle east. The USA can not beat Russia. Russia is over two times larger than the USA.

If missile defense is complete, Russia is toast because they demonstrated last week that their conventional capabilities are polio.

If it isn't complete, it is a Mexican stand off, or war would be limited and on another countries territory.

It would be a long, bloody war and on two continents. Most likely it would be a draw with everybody losing.

In the end you have to look at the allies of each nation sure Russia has China but in the end of the day the Chinese arn`t stupid if they don`t gain anything they won`t go to war.....so it would be Russian and Iran vs NATO as long as we don`t bother the Chinese and Russia is sorronded by US allies we have them from 3 fronts Eu and ANTO forces would go thropught E.Europe while Us and NATO forces launced a blitz to Russia`s oil feilds from the West.....However even if China were to join with Russia we would still win simiply by the fact they may have more men to send at us but we have better training and better equitment........

If it was jsut between US and Russia no allies the Us has a population of 2* that of Russia a economy of 3x that of Russias and we have themn from 3 flanks.....we also have more and better equitment...you do the math....

Also if they did go nuclear if  managed to get a missle past our missle defence sheild they would still have to deal with the retalation....ni the time it would take them to nuke us once we could launch upwards from 100 at them via our stealth subs that have 90% of our nuclear arsnal on it and can hit 80% of the worlds land mass.......the Rusians are stupid but their not insane even if we did go to war they would never use nukes.....
