  1. Marginally. With less light comes less heat. A programmable thermostat and caulking all the exterior wall penetrations would make much more of a difference in energy savings than pulling that blind.

  3. yes because the heat goes through the glass, even if it looks like it gets no sun

  4. Yes, heat outside travels through the glass; a blind decreases the heat transfer ratio.
