  1. studies show between 3-5% chance.  No evidence that C section or any other form of delivery changes this much.  Baby can be tested after birth to see.


  2. there is a slight chance it can happen but on a 7% chance. but during labor scapel, electrodes, or vaccum/forceps should be used.

One study showed an increase in the risk of transmission after vaginal delivery as compared to Cesarean section. This was not seen in other studies.
