  1. Your body will never fight it off. but your body can keep it stable. Take iron tablets, very good for your immune system. and vitamin C =]

  2. your body can fight it off but you should still get regular doctor visits and cryotherapy if needed. get the vaccine for HPV so you cannot contract other strains.

  3. i think many people are under the misconception that hpv (high risk)cannot be cleared from your body, this is untrue. your body can clear it, and many women do over time. the explaination would involve getting into a whole bunch of virology, but i will spare you. as far as a booster, i would advise you to get the gardisil vaccine. it will give your immune system a boost as well as some protection against some other strains. even if you are not able to clear the virus, you aren't sentenced to death by it. there isn't a definitive way to test if the virus is gone. but i would say years of clean paps and hpv test? results should be pretty indicative of a healthy croch lol

  4. 1 -Although HPV can't be cured, you WILL NOT die from it.

But eat healthy, exercise and take vitamins.

  5. Some women do have a more difficult time in building immunity to the virus...

What treatments has she had?  Treatments are geared to remove the abnormal cells that the virus causes.  A persistent progressive HPV can progress to cancer.  Having the virus for three years would be more of a risk factor….Virtually all cervical cancers are due to HPV and sadly some people that have cervical cancer can die. This gals needs to keeping current with her Pap smears with HPV testing and following her doctors recommended treatments plans.

The HPV vaccine Gardasil prevents 2 low risk HPV types 6 and 11 and two high risk HPV types 16 and 18.  The vaccine is not a treatment for HPV types that you have and will not help build any immunity to HPV types that you do have.  If you have not acquired all 4 HPV types then they will prevent HPV types you have not all ready acquired.  They are 30+ high and low risk genital HPV types.  To learn more about the vaccine visit www.gardasil.com

Some of the things that can be done to help boost your immune system would be to take a good multi-vitamin rich in folic acid, get good sleep, reduce stress, exercise, limit alcohol..stay in a monogamous relationship, use condoms - condoms have been shown to help the virus regress - eat lots of green veggies like broccoli cauliflower and cabbage.

I wish this person well.  I hope with a bit more time this gal will start fighting the virus.
