If a wwII dive bomber . SDB, pilot is killed can the rear gunner land the aircraft?

My guess is no; he's facing the wrong way, and I doubt he has flight controls at his station.

I don't believe there was access from the cockpit to the gunners position.  So I believe the answer is No.

Only if he can climb out on the wing and throw that dead guy out and climb in and land it. It could be done I suppose... he would then immediately go in to his Sqdrn CO and want his upgrade and pay.

I got to fly the last flying SBD down in Corpus Christi back in 1983,  it's a nice little airplane.
