Making abortion illegal doesn't stop it happening. It just makes it unsafe, and thousands of women will die unnecessarily because of it. :-/

Like penny said, there will be people, not always doctors, making a lot of money to perform an essentially simple procedure, most likely in unsanitary conditions.

Where abortion is still outlawed, women still die every year. If a country doesn't manage this under legalized conditions, it will always be that way.
