Would $300 a month do it for you?

How about $250K every 3 months?

"AMERICAN forces are paying Sunni insurgents hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash to switch sides and help them to defeat Al-Qaeda in Iraq....

One sheikh in a town south of Baghdad was given $38,000 (£19,000) and promised a further $189,000 over three months to drive Al-Qaeda fighters from a nearby camp...."

"...Most members of the Awakening groups are Sunni Arab former insurgents who themselves fought American troops under the al-Qaeda banner...

They earn around 300 dollars a month and their presence at checkpoints and on patrol has become an essential component of the U.S.-led coalition's strategy to restore order in the war-wracked country..."

  1. My freedom does not have a price tag on it.

Thank you.  Thank you very much.  =]

  2. couldnt pay me all the money in the world

  3. No switching sides for me... I swore an oath and even though I'm out I would still die for my family and my country

  4. If they can defeat USA, they will FORCE you to switch side without have to pay you. How ? <=== TOTAL OIL EMBARGO off course, what else :))

  5. If al-Qaida invaded America and took over I would not help them for any

amount of money. Al-Qaida is the worst of the worst ,with no value toward life. It would be like making a deal with the devil.

  6. If they paid via PayPal, I'd be happy with around $1k per month.

  7. Not a fair question. If what you say is true, the American forces aren't asking them to change their religion. Al-Qaeda would. You aren't going to find too many Christians that will denounce their religion in order to stay alive, let alone for a monthly paycheck, just as I don't think you'd find too many Muslims that would do the same over there if our military had an "embrace Christianity or die" policy.

I'd like to take up a collection for a one way ticket for the capitalist hating Socrates to Iran. Socrates you are an idiot. Fundamentalist Christians don't stone adulterers and homosexuals to death.

  8. In answer to your question, it would depend on who Al Qaeda wants to fight.  If they were against neocons, corporate executives, fundamentalist "Christians" and other American fascists, I'd join them free of charge.  In answer to your details, the thing I find funny and depressing is that if the U.S. with the help of international N.G.O.s focused on providing basic necessities to Iraq's poorest citizens, instead of further enriching corrupt U.S. defense contractors, it wouldn't have to bribe anyone.

  9. You like to pick and choose press releases to make a point, don't you?

We are in the middle of a religious war, and we are the infidels over there. In a poor country like Iraq, bribes may get results, but here in the USA, most of the people I know are not for sale at any price.

If Al-Qaeda invaded this country with even 500,000 insurgents (how would they get here?), I believe that there would be thirty million guns trained on them and that they would be exterminated in a few days.

  10. I'm nobody's wh*re. I can not be bought...I'm proud to be an American. I am a Christian. My loyalty to my country was not bought with any amount of money. I pledge my allegiance to the United States with out reservation and do so freely and of my own choice.

Besides, as a woman, I certainly would not expect al-Qaeda to expect me to fight against my country men and women. They would want to banish me behind a veil and close me off to the rest of the world. They do not respect women as human nor give equal rights to women. I would never pledge an alliance with such an organization. I would die first.

I am proud to be an American. I am free to do as I please. I know my country is not perfect, but it is mine. This is my home and this is where I live. And this is what I will defend.

  11. nothing, im only on my side. fuuuck both of them.

money will be worthless if inflation continues to rise

  12. If they were offering a lump sum, I'd need around 100 thousand.  If it were payments, 10 thousand a month for a period of 1 year

  13. hmmm I'd probably be an terrorist against al qaida no way would I let them take over my country quietly besides I'm a soldier I don't think I would live to change sides if that ever happened

  14. They couldn't pay me to be apart of "them". I know that's a typical response but they really couldn't I would rather die for my country than have them pay me. No amount of money could convince me to fight for them.

  15. ham sandwich.  There is not much I won't do for a ham sandwich
