If aliens and alien spaceships are real..would you be surprised if the aliens had wings?

I'm thinking of the Mothman. (Not that anyone ever said it was an alien from another planet.) Since no one has ever seen an alien from another planet(the government says they haven't) ..maybe we should consider this possibility.

Some aliens have wings because they live in the sky.They have floating cities because they cannot live on the ground.Theres a lot of reasons why aliens with wings don"t live on the ground.Too many preditors.The pressure on the surface is too strong for them to survive.There is not enough gas on the surface for them to breath,but they can breath the gas futher up in the sky.The ground might be all sea and they cannot live in the sea.The energy for there survival is in the sky.That's why they live there.There is another evil race living on the surface.They cannot share the ground with them.

So are you saying people who claim to see ETs are not telling the truth, but people who claim to see the Mothman are?

I would be surprised with whatever the ET aliens' appearance was.  If they exist and if they ever visit Earth they could look like literally anything--slug, plant, rock, snake, disk, tube, etc.  They could also be any size.  They could be tiny as an ant or as giant as a battleship.

Looking at flight through an Evolutionary lens.We have creatures on Earth that fly.Birds,insects,etc.What we've learned is given the chance.Animals give up flight for a ready food source.Birds like emu's,ostriches and rails all at one time could fly.When they didn't need to anymore,over time they lost the ability.Penguins exchanged flight for swimming,they ate fish after all.Many insects have wings but don't fly or aren't very good at it.For those reasons I would be very surprised at winged aliens.Wings would serve no purpose in inter-galactic commuting.

I like your question. I think we would be surprised, just like some people are surprised to hear that penguins have wing but cannot fly.

I suppose it is within the realm of possibility that an intelligent creature could evolve on a planet where wings or flying proved to be beneficial to survival, but I think I would still be surprised. If they had an atmospheric pressure like ours, an alien of our size would need to have huge wings.

I would be suprised to see an alien period.  Mothman has been associated with lights in the sky, mysterious strangers, disasters, animal mutilation, etc.  They have commanalities in the realm of cryptozoology, but not enough to be both.  Aliens don't have an historical association or spiritual association with disasters, as does mothman.

Aliens don't have wings. Many people have seen aliens. Don't ever consider the government a viable source of information when it comes to aliens.

i disagree with JESSICA in '92 there was war in  my country there was lot of sightings croissant DE lune shapes sitting still in the sky next to the moon  it wasn't only me it was hole town who saw the same thing i don't know if there's any photo evidence nor it was aliens or not but it wasn't like nothing that i saw so far and I'm not so into aliens it was before killings started and weired fact all the animals rats frogs were everywhere in the city  running crawling on the street which was very unusual almost like a real life night mare
