If all humans were from Africa at one point? And Africans are black...?

Doesn't that mean that we all used to be black? And if we all used to be black, doesn't that mean that we've evolved to different colors? And if we've evolved, and they are still black, doesn't that mean that they haven't yet evolved?

  1. Not all Africans are black.

  2. at what point do you not know what evolution is...if they didn't need to evolve into any other color, wouldn't that make them the purest of humans...

  3. makes sence if you beiliev that what happend but sounds aloada shut!

  4. All creatures on this earth are equally evolved. Colors other than black on humans are derived, but that does not mean they are further evolved or better. A gorilla's sagittal crest is derived, but it is not something we would want on modern humans.

  5. no it means that the lighter races are lacking melanin ,thats not evolving that diluting, sorry don't forget the sunblock

  6. I don't know why anyone would give you the time of day with questions of that sort !

  7. Nice question - I dont think we evolved....we all migrated to different places on the globe and probably became different races and with the passage of time, inter mingling of races and things like that we look different from the people who live in Africa.  Consider this....there are quite a number of similarities between .... Africans, Dravidians in Indian peninsular, Several tribals living in Andaman and Nicobar islands,Srilankans, Aborigines  who live in Australia

  8. Its not really like that. Different human races have different skin colour because they have adapted to their environments.

Like the whites from Europe are white because it's cold there.  And South-east Asians are brown because it is a tropical climate there. But its just a theory it has evidence but no proof yet. Because whites in the Americas aren't any different from the Europeans since their ancestors came from Europe. The climate in the Americas is different from that in Europe but they look the same even if they were seperated for a some generations.

Another theory is that different hominid populations evolved in different areas of the world, which means that the blacks have evolved from their predecessors.

But I don't believe in any of the mentioned theories but this is a good answer.

  9. We'll my theory is that people originated from different corners across the globe. Asians originated in China or India and Africans originated in South Africa. Middle Eastern people originated in Egypt and Europeans originated in Poland and they migrated over Serbia to get to alaska.

Proof and evidence for this is the fact that there are different elephant, apes, cat species across the globe. For example there are asian elephants which are close to extinction however in africa there is a different species which hasnt got the same 100% DNA. Same goes for lions and tigers, also gorillas and chimpanzies our closest relatives.

How we all got close to the same DNA today was because we can travel to these far away places and breed between giving us inter mixed races like eurasians.

How come aboriginals are black and how did they get over to Australia? I presume that they walked across during the last ice age from India due to most of the water being frozen. Same goes for the Europeans they probably just walked across from Russia to America because they were linked.

These are my facts and theories I believe and Im 15 so dont go off at me if Im wrong but Im sure theres a significance towards them and the truth.

  10. I think you are not correct by saying so.  There are other like mongoloid or australoid generations according to evoluation theory and anthropology.  So kindly refer to a textbook of college/univerisity level on "Introduction to Anthropology."

  11. I always thought it was something to do with temperature, people in hot climates develop darkers skins and people in colder climates develop paler skins. When I go out side my skin gets dark but if I stay inside  my skin becomes paler. It's science man, you have to prove these things to yourself empirically.

My next experiment will involve electricity...

  12. ARE YOU ALL RIGHT? Sun exposure has dictated that their skin stay dark. One might ask if white folk are inferior with enough natural pigment to protect them.

  13. where the h**l you hear that from?

  14. Humans, regardless of pigmentation, are of the same blood and DNA.

  15. Congratulations on proving your lack of education.

Perhaps if you were to read a book about anthropology and evolution you would be able to see how narrow minded and niave that question was.

No one said that lighter skin was a good adaptation.

  16. Obviously asking such a question indicates YOU have devolved.

  17. No. Peoples' complexions changed after moving to different continents and/or climates. So, if (some) Africans stayed in Africa, they would have the same dark complexion (as well as some variations) today, that they did years ago.

  18. It is an adaptation to climate that determines skin color, Not all Africans are black. Some just have great  tans.

  19. Watch "The Journey of Man" on National Geographic Channel. A geneticist proved that the first human beings were black and that we just evolved to different colors.

  20. The changing of skin tones has to do with the environment and climate, heat , lack of or high amount of sun light etc..its adaptation not evolution!! You may want to take a class to learn more out this stuff.

  21. that's the dumpiest question I really feel sorry for you, and for the record not all African are black, too bad that you can't get the chance to discover how rich is continent and how diverse is its culture. looks like you're the only one ho didn't evolve

good luck to those who know you or have to deal with you

  22. Wow! you're on a roll. What came first..........................the Chicken or the Egg?

  23. That's adaptation, not evolution.  We are still the same species, so we have not evolved in a biological sense, only adapted.

You might as well ask if people without wisdom teeth or with less hair are more evolved.

  24. You do have a point - however there is another theory that the evolution of humans must have started somewhere else too (along with  africa) else there would not have been such a huge population.

Well even if we assume that only africa must have been the origin - evolution plays its own role. Climate too has an impact.

  25. As per religious mythology, the origion of man started from asia, syria to palistine.Thereafter, he sread to the entire world to fetch his needs. The colours developed as weather of the land the man resided for thousands of years. This iswhy a man of any race can marry with woman of all races and can give birth to a child

  26. omg

    ok. here's how it goes:

if theoretically everyone came from africa, then some of them eventually migrated to DIFFERENT CONTINENTS which had different CLIMATES, they're skin and features would change so they were better able to adapt to their climates (adaptation not evolution)

african's did not migrate, so no need to change their skin and features to adapt to climate.  so just because they did not need to adapt did not mean they did not evolve.

evolution of the human species mainly refers to going from ape-form to primitive man to modern day man.

  27. evolution is really kinda racist isnt it? maybe the black are more evolved than white folks? ever think of that?... hmm that was mean of me to say such things about people my own color... oh well :p

  28. May be we all originated from Africa but moved on to different places with different climates and were exposed to the theory of evolution, hence we are all with different complexion.

  29. Yes it does! But I don't believe my ancestors were ever black!

  30. Not exactly. Humans evolved in Africa (most likely). The earliest modern humans were black. As humans moved around the globe, they did evolve to be different colors, different sizes, and with certain other differences. But it's important to keep in mind that evolution is constantly occurring in every population. So while, say, Europeans evolved to lose pigment, Africans were evolving in their own ways. We just happen to prioritize pigment differences as very important, even though they're very insignificant.

  31. Our skin pigmentation has to do with the amount of melatonin we have.    The hotter the climate, the more melatonin, which helps to protect us from the damaging rays of the sun.  Indians are considered Caucasian and some are almost just as dark as Africans.

So, to answer your question, yes it is natural selection, but no Africans are not less evolved.  You should have done a bit more research or worded your question differently, as I'm suspecting it was meant to be more rhetorical than inquisitive.
