  1. You're confusing HD with digital. All stations will not be broadcasting in HD, rather in DIGITAL instead of analog. An HD signal is digital...but NOT all digital signals are HD. HD (high definition) refers to the actual picture resolution.  An HD picture is either a resolution of 720p, 1080i or 1080p, while a standard picture is either 480i or 480p. You will still get standard definition programming, but it will all be digital instead of some of it being analog. If you get digital cable or satellite, it really doesn't apply to you as you are already receiving digital television picture. The only way it would affect you would be if you were NOT paying for tv service, and just using an antenna to receive tv,


  2. You wish - they're just going digital, which is not HD. HD stands for Hi Definition.
