  1. count however you want,i dont really care how you count.dont blame the usa for your lack of adding or subtracting though

  2. It is zat way because your little tiny country does not "contribute" enough moniez to zee IOC.  Until zen too bad for vous.

  3. Be proud little countries!

  4. I think the medal count is a farce for a few reasons:

    - "National pride" is way overrated now. The Olympics used to be about the world vs. the communists and there was a huge political and global dominance at stake in the games. Today that doesn't really exist (aside from China still caring) and the 'national pride' only shows up for two weeks every few years.

    - A lot of the athletes in the Olympics don't compete in or for their countries outside of the Olympics. To use the Jamaica sprinters as an example, they will train and travel with their sponsor teams like Nike or Adidas. They spend years training with people from other countries in other countries, most have dual citizenship and could compete for more than one country. Look at Olympic basketball, and all the NBA players who could compete for the US or [insert home country].

    - Doping. Different places have different or no doping / testing agencies (Jamaica for one has no testing body). The IOC at the games is not effective and will only catch people who use at the games (IDIOTS). Its impossible to tell who is clean and isnt clean, because anyone can get access to it.

  5. Dont count all the winners as dumbs.

  6. You can keep track by capita if you want.

  7. I guess Jamaica doesn't win no matter how you skew the numbers.

  8. You've done your maths.

Cool, I love stats like this...thanks!

You CAN count things however you like. I do believe at the end of the day though there is only one Usain BOLT and one Michael PHELPS.

  9. what does it all matter anyways, every1 counts their own way i'm fine with that, and if you wanna call your country number 1 then go for it

  10. whatever makes you feel better about yourself

  11. that way china and india are like the bottom 2 of the list.

  12. You can do whatever you want, or count however you want....if it's going to get you through your day, week, month....whatever it is you're trying to prove.  The point of the olympics is to share an experience with the world, it's not about rubbing someone's nose in the dirt and saying "we're better than you".  That is the OPPOSITE meaning of what the olympics are all about.
