  1. ic

    don't you know ?

  2. ate fool. GAWD

  3. -ous, although it doesn't mean it has the no oxygens, just fewer than the compound with the same name but ending in -ic. Eg, sulphuric acid contains 4 oxygen atoms, sulphurous acid contains 3. -ate means a molecule with four oxygen atoms, eg sulphate. -ine refers to alkaloidal substances eg morphine, quinine. Not sure about -ic other than all molecules ending in it have higher oxidation states than the corresponding -ous molecule eg nitric acid, sulphuric acid etc.

  4. ends in ic EX. Hydrochloric acid

  5. ic

  6. Well if it ends in -ate it means it is a sulphate which has 2 oxygen molecules.I think the answer to your question is -ic.
