  1. got a GED. then go to collage. talk to the high school for details.

  2. Just slip into a hospital, find a white coat and a clip-board and start diagnosing and dispensing. You'll soon get the hang of it and pretty soon you'll be one of the gang.

It worked for me when I took the place of a surgeon and performed a tricky bowel operation on some guy.

  3. GET YOUR GED

  4. These days there are many non-traditional routes into higher education, so it is possible, but be prepared for hard work and a long slog.

You would probably need to do an access to HE course, in specific subjects relevant to your goal, then enter a medical degree program. Talk to your local college or uni.

  5. One route - the one I took - was the Open University. This allows you to keep working and still gain the qualifications you want. However it is a long route, but there are no quick fixes. Whichever route you go it will be a long hard trek.

A major problem for students is finances. If you study full time its hard to hold down a full time job as well. At least my way I worked and studied. I worked nights in the care profession, ie nursing homes etc. Because there were periods when the work load dropped right off I was able to do some studying then.

But as I said earlier which ever road you take its going to be hard work.

    Good luck

  6. Talk to the universities - the entrance procedure and requirements often vary between universities.

You may have to do a course that will give you your high school qualification. When my dad decided to become a chiropractor at the age of 30, he had to re-do his last year of high schooland take the certain subjects that were pre-requisites. He did really well and this method got him in first try - some people have been waiting 10 years!

Definitely talk to each university you are interested in and good luck!

  7. Get back to college, do A levels or an Access course to get into Uni. You're definately not too old and people going back tend to do better than those just going straight to Uni from school.

  8. you would need to do an access course first then i'm not sure if you could start a medical degree you may have to do a similar degree first and then go on to medicine-your looking at about 7 ish years

  9. You're going to need to go back into education and you'll need to take some basic courses before heading off to university as a mature student. Contact your local college and ask for some advice.
