  1. At a guess I think that it would be at least 150, two for each plane and a stand in for an event when one or more is sick on a rotation system, Are you planning to have your own airline? Can I be  trolly dolly?

  2. probably around 400

  3. 50 probably! You know 1 in each plane.

  4. 350 pilots give or take 50 or so.

for continental hauls, 2 pilots in cockpit with 2 reserve pilots.

for cross ocean long hauls, 4 pilots each flight, 1 pair for takeoff, departure and arrival/landing and another pair to fly the plane during cruise.

plus 3-4 pilots reserve in case of something.

also, pilots have to be spread more or less around the world at your destinations. on long hauls, pilots cannot fly in one night and leave the next morning. so add another 2-4 pilots per plane.

also, a small number for coaching training and such.

pilots also have on duty limits, they cannot be "on-duty" for more than 7-8 hours whether flying or not.

  5. Could be anywhere from 300-500 is my guess. I work for a regional we only have 30+ Aircraft and we have well over 200 Pilots. Some actually are scheduled but there are also pilots who have to sit Reserve in case something happens, or when they run into flying problems like hourly issues, or other rest issues. But keep in mind 777 flight are very long and in many cases 2 crews are actually in the plane during flights.
