  1. Well whether they evolved into lizards or got hit b ya meteor or just died it doesn't really affect us. ya know. no matter what we're still going to live the same lives. But it is highly unlikely they evolved without some event like a meteor. nature only evolves traits that help survival. How could going from a t rex to a iguana help them survive? ya know the climate or something had to change.

  2. There probably wouldn't be any mammals larger than small rodents; i.e., no humans at all.  Evolution never stops.  Small rodents were the only mammals around for a VERY long time.  It wasn't until the dinosaurs died off that they were able to expand into new habitats, providing more opportunites for genetic mutations to create evolutionary advantages, thereby diversifying the species of mammals.  There is always some degree of mutation in offspring.  If the mutation happens to manifest something that can give the organism an advantage in its environmet, then that mutation is likely to become more common in the gene pool.  Undoubtedly, dinosaurs would have continued to evolve if there hadn't been a massive extinction.  Some species still would've gone extinct though.  (extinction is always happening; an estimated 99.9% of all the species that have ever lived are now extinct).  Those extinctions would've created new opportunities for species to evolve.

  3. Actually, Dinosaurs are still around. In the Jurassic, a small, feathered Dinosaur evolved into something like a bird. Eventually, birds got more and more bird-like and less reptile-like.

This means that the Birds today are Dinosaurs. In fact, If you look at the bones of a small Theropod and compare them to a modern bird's, you will find many similarities!

If you meant to find out what would happen if the mass extinction never happened...

Large Dinosaurs would have continued to evolve until the present day. I believe there is a website that discusses this, but I can't remember what it is called.

  4. The existence of dinosaurs suppressed the evolution of large mammals for more than a hundred million years.  You can imagine that without the asteroid extinction, that would have continued.  Large mammals, and large flightless birds, would not have evolved.
