Royal mail has conflicting rules on this. Can i claim for items sent to the EU i.e. Austria? Or if not how on earth do i find out which carrier they used so that i can moan at them instead?

Thanks

  1. head and wall comes to mind.....you are insured BUT blood and stone also comes to mind....good luck, youll need it.

  2. Go to any Post Office and get a Form P58. Complete in and hand it in or post it to Royal Mail.

If the 'item' was Insured or otherwise sent under another service, you will be compensated up to the value of the service paid for. If you have a receipt issued by the Post Office, you will have to attach it to the form.  Keep a photocopy of it, just in case the form goes astray!

Good luck but, if ever you send anything in the Royal Mail, make sure you know which service to use.  There are complications concerning money and valuables.
