I'm trying to work out how much it will cost to send a heavy item (without having to take it to the post office). The item weighs 1 stone 10 pounds.

Thanks!

  1. 3803.88557grams or aprox 6.8kilos

  2. 1 st 10lb = 24 lb = 10.9 Kilograms or 10900 grams, if you want to put it into a postal price calculator

    - i have said it before and I will carry on saying it..... anyone who uses 3 or 4 figures of decimal place - for a calculation which doesn't warrant it - knows nothing about how mathematics interacts with the real world

    {edit] 6.9 kilos is WRONG

    the error that you are making... to get 6.9 kilos, is that you are putting in 1.10 stone

    1.10 stone is a decimal equivalent to 1 stone + 0.1 stone - or 15 pounds

    1 stone 10 lbs is 14 lbs (stone) + 10 lbs = 24 lbs

    = 10.9 kilos

  3. That would be 1 Stone (Not enough information to convert data) and 4.4Kg; 5 Pounds is approximately 2.2Kg;

  4. 10886 grams

    10.886 kgrams

    (1 stone = 14 pounds , 1 pound = 453.6 grams(aprx))

    1 stone = 14 pounds + 10 pounds = 24 pounds

    24 x 453.6 = 10886.4

    (the reason the converter failed is no doubt you put 1.10 stones and its not because there are 14 pounds in a stone, thats jus the way computers work, it'll have been seeing it as the whole 14 pounds then .1 of a stone which is 1.4 pounds. (15.4x453.6=6985) put them in seperately I.E do 1 stone then do 10 pounds, and then add the results together)

    cheers

    (and for the guy who got huffy about me using 3 Decimals thats because there are 1000 grams in a Kgram therefore you CAN use 3 decimal places for accuracy, just because you want to round it to 1 is up to yourself, get a life!)

  5. 10.88622KG
