  1. move how? react how?

  2. self replication

  3. Characteristics of living things:

    Homeostasis

    Organization (made of at least one cell)

    Metabolism

    Growth

    Adaptation

    Response to stimuli

    Reproduction

  4. There are a lot of basic definitions of life:

    * It must be able to reproduce

    * Movement

    * Energy conversion

    * Growth

    I think there are a couple more I can't think of. An object must have all of these characteristics to be alive. The absence of one indicates it is not alive. For example a rabbit reproduces, it moves, it converts food into energy and it grows. Therefor it is alive.

    In comparison, just because a solar panel converts energy doesn't mean its alive because it deosn't reproduce or anything.

  5. oxygen and water
