  1. No. She should absolutely NOT continue to lose weight purposely. She can and should continue healthy eating, but not dieting. Pregnancy is for GAINING weight. That is what happens, it is inevitable.

  2. You're not supposed to, but if you are eating healthy and end up losing a few pounds it's not bad. Just know that women who are overweight are still supposed to put on 15lbs minimum during their pregnancy.

  3. once i am pregnant, i am soppose to STOP  trying to lose weight.

i am soppose to continue with the healthy eating habits i started and the workout i usually do.  just no weight lifting.

because i am still overweight by 50lbs, my goal for weight gain is no more then 15lbs.

the plan sounds good in theory.  i hope i stick with it  and have broccoli cravings instead of cookies.

  4. You don't diet while pregnant, it's unhealthy for the baby for you to be losing weight!!! But you do still eat healthy and excercise lightly, but do not do a full blown diet!! It is possible to lose fat while pregnant because you will still be excercising a little and eating right but as long as it's not effecting the baby you're fine. Just talk to your doctor about it.

  5. i have heard of alot of women losing weight while preg. it is a good idea if your over weight because extra weight can make it hard your your preg. but not working out. by eating responsibly knowing that an apple is better for you than french fries stuff like that not dieting just educated eats. make sure you know how much food you should be eating everyday, no diet or diet pills though, normally just changing the way you eat will drop some pounds even when your preg. but i wouldnt expect to be dropping pounds like you were before cause you still have to let your baby grow

  6. She shouldn't try to lose weight anymore--not while she's pregnant, atleast. I would wait until after the baby is born and then work out to lose weight. But you can start eating a lot healthier during pregnancy, which sometimes has a result of weight loss, even if you didn't mean for it to. Just make sure to eat enough for both you and baby--no starving or eating just a little bit. Good luck!

  7. It depends on how overweight you are. My doctor told me that I would be fine and the baby would be fine if I ate 250 calories above my BMR (the number of calories your body needs to function) and if I didn't gain weight the whole 9 months, that would be fine, if I lost weight, that would be fine too...but to definately keep a weight GAIN to 15 pounds max.

I'm 60 pounds overweight though. Talk to your doctor, they'll tell you what you should and shouldn't do. I wouldn't try to diet during pregnancy though.

  8. During your pregnancy you can eat healthy and do moderate exercise. Just make sure you are getting right amount of calories so that you have some energy if you are going to be exercising as baby takes most from you and don't over exert yourself. Don't try and lose weight during pregnancy as you should be putting weight on during pregnancy and that is a great sign you and baby are healthy.

  9. I'm going through this too, as i got pregnant on my diet, lol. All I'm doing is avoiding, soda, fried food, candy, fast food or un healthy food. I'm eating healthier foods, and smaller portions (as i ate massive portions before) surprisingly I've just maintained my weight, which I'm ok with.  You may actually still lose weight buy just eating healthy and smaller portions. take your prenatals drink lots of water and if it's ok w your doc, start walking. You should never try to starve, eat too few calories, or skip meals. crash diets are no good when pregnant. At the same time, this is no excuse for binge eating. Good luck to you  and Congrats!

  10. You cannot be on a diet when you are pregnant. HOWEVER, its a great time to start good eating habits. I lost weight when i was pregnant because i started eating healthy. As months went on, my weight didn't go down, rather it stayed the same as I lost weight and the baby gained. I hate a lot of vegetables (celery and carrots were my usual snacks), stoped eating when i felt full... and I have kept those habits. I was 200lbs before i became pregnant and after giving birth (3 months later) i was 160lbs. I am now 145lbs and very content!

  11. If you pregnant you shouldn't be losing weight. Worry about that after the baby is born...

  12. I would talk to your OB about this.  It is important to eat healthy during pregnancy.  As long as you continue to eat healthy during the pregnancy, you shouldn't gain too much weight.  They usually say you shouldn't worry about losing weight during pregnancy.  You can worry about it after the baby is born.

  13. you arent supposed to lose weight while pregnant as it can be dangerous to you and the baby. its important that you stick to a balanced diet and watch your calorie intact instead, rather than trying to lose any weight. this way it will remain stable, as you are only going to gain weight through the pregnancy anyway. try not to worry. if your doctor gives you any other advice or recommendations then follow their guideline. good luck.

  14. you can loose weight, but i don't think dieting is a good idea. i was told i only needed to gain 10-15lbs. I'm not supper big, but so far ive lost weight and they were fine with it because I'm technically overweight. talk with your doc and they will let you know what is safe and what you should be doing

  15. you are not supposed ot try to lose weight when you are pregnant, but many women will lose some in the first trimester due to morning sickness. after the baby is born, one of the best ways to lose weight is to breastfeed.
