1. Certainly not going to re-invent fishing.Off set hooks have been used since.....whelp since man first made a hook. The video is convincing enough but h**l so is the banjo minnow deal----I loved the bit about northern pike,as crawlers are not MY bait of choice when fishing for them. For Pete's sake put a crawler on a treble hook and it will spin.

I am sure a couple of bucks for a pack of hooks won't kill ya but I am not going to bet my boat that the sdh is gonna fill up my freezer with yellows and I sure will not throw away my worm harnesses, spinners or jigs.

    Just my skeptical 2 cents

  2. Now that you mention it, i wouldn't mind giving those a try, Ive always been a fan of mustad hooks and to be honest i don't think there is a hook made by them that i haven't tried or owned, lol, my son bought a packet of them from cabelas last weekend, so i might get a few from him and give them a go, and for the first post, the hooks you mention with a slight bend, are they not just off-set, to allow better hook-ups, they are slightly twisted on the bend of the hook just below the barb?

  3. I have to start off by admitting that have yet to use mine. I took notice of these hooks last year. I became really enthralled with them when I saw the "rolling" action they impart on the worm.(bait) I hurried out to get a pack, but was told shortly thereafter they're most effective for walleye presentations.(heard it really entices them!) Since I was planning on bass fishing,(never fished for eyeballs!) I never used the hooks.(forgot I had them, until now) I once watched the action in a swimming pool, and it definitely gives a sweet looking "roll" to the bait! Sorry I can't help more, but if you're a walleye fisherman, I'd definitely give them a try. At $2.19 for ten!, why not? http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templa...

  4. While I've never heard of this I have noticed that on a few of my hooks there is a slight bend like this.I always wondered why they made it that way.Though my answer does you no good.Sorry lol.
