I need to know how far is 2x20 for a scope, like how many feet

  1. It's twice (2x) magnification.

    So if something you see is 20 feet away, with the scope it would look like it's 10 feet away.

    He's completely right, I forgot to mention the 20 part.


  2. valo is right on the 2X part. the 20 part refers to the objective lense which is the lense furthest from your eye. It is the diameter of the lense in millimeters. So its 20 mm wide. The larger the number the wider the lense, the wider the objective lense the more light it gathers. So the bigger lenses make it easier to see when its grey, cloudy or at dawn and dusk.
