  1. Religion is not a group activity. Religion is a lonely path, that you must travel alone to your destination. Hinduism allows that freedom.

You can psych your self however you want to reach your individual goal.

So please let everyone follow their individual path.

A secular society allows that you may dress as you want. Society has some dress code, so please follow them. Our external appearance has nothing to do with our internal quest.

  2. The Five Ks, or panj kakaar/kakke, are five articles of faith that all baptized Sikhs (Khalsa) are required to wear at all times, as commanded by the tenth Sikh Guru, who so ordered on the day of Baisakhi Amrit Sanskar in 1699. The symbols are worn for identification and representation of the ideals of Sikhism, such as honesty, equality, fidelity, meditating, and never bowing to tyranny

    The five symbols are:-

    Kesh (uncut hair)

    Kanga (wooden comb)

    Kaccha (specially designed underwear)

    Kara (iron bracelet)

    Kirpan (strapped sword)

    AJM

  3. Your opinion is worth consideration but you see that rules and laws are administered to us human beings so we can remain human beings, otherwise the only difference between us and other beings is that we follow laws to lead our lives and they don't. And I believe that religions have laws because by being so, it would set a standard for the members of the faith,a  proper way according to its founders to follow it. Plus, laws and rules of different religious groups also give a certain presentation of their beliefs as well. For example, all baptized Sikhs wear the five Ks, they are because partly they also give representation of its laws as it is said that all baptized Sikhs at all times must wear at least a small sword or any sort of weapon as it resembles the Sikh belief that one should always be armed and ready to fight oppression, tyranny and injustice. So you'll see the baptized ones always wearing at least one sword as its representation. So laws and rules also gives a representation of their beliefs. And since all Sikhs are supposed to keep the hair growth on their body as it is because it is believed that when God creates our body then after creating us and giving us life, time by time when we're growing up, hairs on our body start to grow which means that since God created all of our body, hair growth on our bodies must also be one his plans so why cut them? Wouldn't we getting in His way then? Also because in Sikhism, hairs resemble saintliness. And the strict followers also wear turbans which is because since they also keep their hair growth on their head, to cover it properly, they wear turbans. From just someone's turbans, you can assume directly that there's a good chance that he might be a baptized Sikh.

  4. If we have any glimpse  in the history of mankind one will find that whenever PROPHETS came on this world stage for leading & giving simple serene sermon for human beings to fulfill their spiritual and materialist wishes then the followers comes, afterwards meanigs of every SAYINGS & TEACHINGS changed with span.A sikh becomes a singh when he does follow the 5Ks and become ( PURE) PURAN GURSIKH as per GURMARIADA started by 10th GURU JI, GURU GOBIND SINGH JI SANT SIPAHI,( saint soldier). Before becoming puaran gursikh one remains SEHAJDHARI sikh in short sehaj means slowly & steadily one is comming near AWARENESS with steady mind.So there is no question of if & why.

  5. If we are following any religion, we are supposed to abide by its discipline and orders. Otherwise it is  considered that we are not strictly following the religious discipline.

Similarly Brahmins are supposed to wear their sacred thread always. But few people among Brahmins do not follow this rule. Still they are called Brahmins.

Otherwise under which religious category, he will be considered!
