  1. i presume you know cambrills is just along the road from salou, ie blackpool with sunshine. its an ok place if you are looking for a little england!

  2. Cambrils is a modern town with a great beach. If the weather is bad you can always catch a train to Tarragona or Barcelona.

It is relatively quiet but Salou is right next door.

Cambrils has a very long promenade and it is worth considering hiring a bike.

    Sailing is available.

If you are self catering, go to the fishermans co-op to buy fish.

Port Aventura is near but you should hire a car for a few days and go up into the hills and tour the old monasteries. The real Spain / Catalunya is only a few miles inland. Visit Montblanc.

Front line (i.e. beach front) flats are still available to buy in Cambrils but the prices are rocketing. It's time to buy if you can.

  3. i been to cambrills 3 times and im going again next year. i love it in costa dorada. last time i stayed in a hotel called maritim princess and its a lovely hotel, the food there is good, they have a gym(although i go on holiday to forget everything including diet and exercise) theres a bus stop right outside if you dont rent a car so you can still go into salou and theres also a small supermarket right next door if you want to stock up on beer, soda and food. there is a theme park called portaventura not too far away which is brilliant. there is some great rides there. you can see the dragon khan(portaventura's main rollercoaster) all the was back in salou (depending on where you are)if rollercoasters arent your thing then theres alway aquapolis (waterpark) which is in salou/la pineda and thats always fun.

  4. I live in Spain but don't know Cambrils...

Regarding where to stay, any hostal will be cheap this time of year.

Regarding the job, take any you can get, unemployment here is about 4 times that in the UK.

Regarding TV, there are more and more ways of getting TV in Spain every week, cable satelite, terestrial digital, that should be the last of your worries.
