If as is claimed Ruby shot Oswald to silence him, what threat made Ruby take the heat?

jack ruby was an avid fan and supporter of kennedy and thats why he did it--ruby was a night club owner--i watched it on t.v when it happened--dont know about his family--dont remember the t.v saying anything about them--ruby died in prison of cancer not very long after

Ruby was part of the organized crime syndicate. Bobby Kennedy stepped on some powerful toes as Attorney General. Mafia toes. J. Edgar Hoover of the FBI hated both Kennedy's. Kennedy was a supporter of civil rights so he was hated by the KKK types.

No one will every find out what actually happened with either Kennedy.

I believe the shooting of Oswald was done so no trial would take place. That allowed a cover up.

They were both part of the conspiracy that doesn't exist.  Ruby was dying anyway.  Oswald reportedly said, after being shot in full view of the world in the middle of a squad of Dallas Police in the station, "Jack, you son-of-a-b*tch."  How'd he know his assassin's name?

Ruby wasn't under any kind of threat, IMO.

They threatened to reveal his many affairs and mistresses. Back then, that would have ruined even a nude bar owner's reputation. Not to mention it was the wife's money-not his.
