  1. A totally unbeatable rugby team

  2. well, McCullum could replace adam gilchrist and dan vettori could replace MacGill, and make the cricket team even better.  It is doubtful the two would join (like the same country), but they may join economically (like the European union) as it would be mutually beneficial.

  3. You would have a stronger dollar, could afford to buy new cars instead of second hand imports, higher wages, lower prices,as a bigger population would mean more supply and  demand, which brings prices down, lower petrol prices. The list could go on and on.Me I would be more than happy to see us combine. But also just as happy to be Brothers.

Kiwis are proud to be Kiwis and that to most in NZ is more important than monetary gain. You can't argue with that.

  4. The Australian constitution already has made allowances for New Zealand to become part of the "Commonwealth of Australasia".  However, this was never enacted (and why should it be?).  New Zealand doesn't need to be part of Australia and vice versa.  Both countries are brilliant (IMO) and we should retain our current trading arrangements; Australia & New Zealand as a combined force on global markets makes both countries stronger.

The only benefit New Zealand would get from such a merger would be the ability to ship those #$$%^#@ brush-tailed possums back across the border to Australia.  Mind you, if Australia adopted New Zealand's view of the army-boot-clad beasties, we'd be able to make those luxurious possum-pelt blankets the Kiwi's make.  LOL... only teasing... kinda!
