  1. New born babies are only kept if there is some sort of risk to it or the mother.  If your baby is healthy, there will be no reason for the hospital to keep it.

  2. No not as long as the baby is healthy and a healthy weight. And at that many weeks you stand a pretty good chance of your baby being okay. Good luck but hope you go full term!!! Best Wishes!

  3. My little one was born at 36 weeks and she stayed only as long as I did. I had to stay an extra day and she stayed too but only because I was there.

  4. There is no need to keep them in hospital unless there are breathing problems, born very small or not feeding. As long as your baby is healthy and feeding they wont keep them in hospital.

  5. 37 weeks is considered full term...but my guess is that as long as everything is good, and baby is healthy you can go home.

  6. no not at all they should be fine

  7. It depends on the development of the baby. I had my son at 37 weeks and he was able to come home with no problems.

  8. 37 weeks is generally considered full term

  9. Usually I think that anything after 36 weeks is ok. Every baby is different though.

  10. at 37 weeks the baby is considered full term, he/she is just packing on weight the last few weeks. They would probably not need to be kept in the hospital longer unless they had some sort of problem/complication. Good luck!

  11. sometimes it depends on why it came at 36and 37 weeks because when your pregnant if you are lets say 10 weeks pregnant your babys development is actually 2 week behind that thats why they say your pregnant for 9 luner months but your actually pregnant for 10 months (40 weeks)any way if its lungs are not ready they might.

  12. That all depends on how the baby's health is.  If he/she has breathing problems or jaundice then they may need t

  13. My son was born at 37 weeks. He had jaundice but was discharged from the hospital the same time as I was (day 2). He had to be readmitted for his jaundice but that is a different story. My Dr even separated my membranes at 37 weeks so he felt it was fine for my son to be born at 37.

  14. It depends on baby. If bay can keep his body temperature and can eat and breath just fine most likely they will send baby home with you. Put it this way even if your baby does have to stay it wont be as long as a baby at lets say 30 weeks. 36 to 37 weeks is very good for an early baby! Not to mention if you make it to 37 it is considered full term. Less stress and don't worry baby will be just fine! Good luck!

  15. As far as I know, if a baby can breathe and suckle on it's own, they won't keep them in the hospital past a couple days.

    Good luck!
