  1. Because lots of money is never enough.

  2. Why would thy? they don't want to stop making money. would you?

and they have been making more greener pieces of equipment over the last 20 years. where have you been. You're probably not that old.

anyways, the big companies won't change, just as the big industries don't change because they pollute. they get fined by the EPA, and in turn they pay huge fines so they don't have to change. Until the EPA and the Gov,. make them change it and not just pay fines. we won't slow down Co2 emissions.

Good luck getting any big company to change.

    It's all about the $$$$$$

  3. The only way to get big companies to change is to reduce their market share. By law a corporations has a responsiblity to make the most profit for their share holders.

If you support real green companies and boycott non green companies or those who practice what is refered to as green washing you will be voting with your wallet. Companies are trying to lure Green shoppers, many with token practices or slick marketing. I use www.biggreenpurse.com and www.treehugger.com as well as other reliable sources to decide where and what I'll buy. We need to create a demand for eco-friendly products so there is a financial incentive for large corporations to make real change.

It may take more effort to seak out green companies, but once you begin, it becomes easier and it will benifit the movement toward eco friendly products and manufacturing processes.

  4. Because all they care about is their stupid money $$$$$$$$!

  5. Because they get paid massive amount of money to run their company.

  6. Many big companies do contribute money to charities because those are tax deductible. They do it for the tax benefits and for the public image. I am sure some of those charities are environmental related but it would be take time to dig it up.

The only goal for a company to exist is to make money, a lot of money. If there are some things they can sell to make a lot of money vs. some things they can also sell, eco friendly but they will make less money, what do you think the decision is?

The current gas price increase makes people stop buy big SUV so we have seen the car manufacturers shift their production to make small cars and cars with high MPG. They made the change because they have to respond to the market, not because they concern for the environment.

  7. because they just dont care about others

  8. because climate change is natural

  9. b/c the democates didn't target them for socialist upriseing

  10. I do believe the companies you mentioned actually do research on just the projects you have mentioned.  They have to have such research and results approved and tested.  Sometimes this takes a few years.  Most likely they will come out with the very thing you have mentioned.  And concerning the climate-- God is in control.  We have done a lot of damage due to our consumption and use of hydrocarbons.

This world is waxing old, and one day God will make a new heaven and a new earth. (from the Bible-- Revelation, chapters 21 and 22)  You have good ideas, and hopefully more people will embrace them. -- Toni D. (a senior lady)

  11. If there were customers to buy those eco-friendly devices, they would be on the store shelves.  Big companies, like Kodak, LG, ect. get big and rich by selling things that people want to buy.

If you think they are making a lot of profit, buy their stock and get in on the profits.  It is not for the businesses to make charitable contributions; that would be unethical and the executives should be sued and removed for doing it.  They are charged with the responsibility of making profits for shareholders.  If the shareholders want to make charitable contributions, they are welcome to do so from the part of the profits that are distributed to them.

If you think the profits of large companies should be give to charities, buy the stock, own the companies, give your profits to charity.
