Bill Gates doesn't give money away, no wealthy person simply doles out funds like our fine government. Essentially, Bill Gates and his wife have set up the Gates Foundation, which provides philanthropic support to worthy causes.

okay, let's see, 1 million dollars after the gift tax in most states and probably paying income tax on that, let's realistically say you end up with approx. $550,000. - Pay debts off, open annuity for retirement, maybe could buy some bonds, a steak dinner and guess what - then I'd be broke again.
