If blood were to get in one's eyes, can you go blind?

If blood were to get in one's eyes, what can happen? Last night while I was drying my face with a towel, I popped a pimple below my eye and I accidently rubbed the blood in my eye. All of today my eye has stung. Thoughts?

Blood isn't poisonous!

However, the gunge from a pimple isn't exactly healthy. Eyes are very good at cleaning themselves though. Put some eye drops in if you're worried.

No, the blood won't hurt your eye.  It probably is the bacteria from the popped pimple (eew) that got into your eye that is irritating it.  You might want to call the doctor for some antibiotic eye drops, you don't want to get a nasty eye infection.  Good luck.
