    That's the default.  Unless certain circumstances apply (see examples spelled out in this article:  http://www.insure.com/articles/healthins... ), the birthday rule is the industry standard.

  4. Generally that will be the one that has the best coverage.  It really depends on the insurance carrier and the individual policies.  Some will require the other insurance to be the primary (all will try that tactic) and then accept the "secondary" policy to cover any differences.

    These answers don't really make any sense because there is no universal answer for this question.
