  1. It's being proved that many traits specificly skip a generation,

    but this is not one of those.

    High IQ can be stressful in large families if the balance of inteligence and affection are not there.

    My parents were high IQ with 6 children 15 months apart,

    and I was right in the middle ,

    dying for MORE THAN inteligence.

    I found it in a married man and it was hard to walk away after 3 years, before his large family would have been ruined.

    1/2 of my siblings are over 30 and still NOT in productive, nurturing relationships.

    #1 is that they will not be passing on the high IQ themselves, because of no offspring.

    But I have 5 gifted children and the same Awesome husband for 16 years now! God Bless!


  2. In a large sample size you will see regression toward the mean, though not in one generation.  So the children are likely to have IQ's in the gifted range, though not as high as the parents.  In a single family, the children's IQs could be higher or lower than their parents.
