If bullying in the work place is so bad, why is it so common in the House of Parliament?

I refer to the party whip system, which sees many weak and gutless politicians vote against their own conscience and the wishes of the electorate.

  1. I think you answered your own question. Those MP's who succumb to the whip are gutless. If they lose their seats they maybe unemployable!


  2. A work place is where people work. The house of parliment contains niether workers nor people.

  3. Because if they disagree, they'll probably get fired. You forgot to mention bribery in the House of Commons too.

  4. There is no real bullying in the House of Commons they are all just acting a part. I would have to admit that most of them are gutless windbags however. Mendacity is also part of their 'stock in trade'.
