enough money for a car? no matter how many hours they work, it seems like it won't be enough because the cab costs most of their paycheck. I help them out by picking them up or dropping them off when I can(but I can't always do it), but they haven't had luck finding carpools or people to help out at work. How have other people in their situation managed to eventually afford a car?

  1. Either change jobs to closer to home or better paying.

    Could they use a bicycle?

Frankly, if their money is that tight, even saving enough to buy an old beater would still leave them shy on the running expenses and insurance.
