Meow, Meow, Meow, Meow

Dangling on precarious string,

my kitty cat heard the phone ring,

the cat fell back upon her back,

rolled over twice, fell into a sack,

cat in the sack again fell back,

then rolled into the canines snack,

as dogs teeth came chomping down,

tail of the cat topped ground round,

cat was nimble cat was d@mn quick,

cat pulled way before cat was nicked,

cat screeched and slid on the floor,

cat high-tailed it straight out the door,

down the driveway into the street,

cat was fleeing in full retreat,

ten long months pass until the day,

the cat came by, had this to say,

...that phone has got to go... now... meow, meow, meow, meow.

  1. This is wildly funny and flows well, a sunday morning treat.  My cat, Grace is convinced the ringing phone is for her!

  2. This is absolutely adorable!!

    I love it!

  3. Vivid, well written, very impressive rhythm and flow and rhymes that work without detracting from the verse.

All in all a very fun read.

  4. Define "unreasonable". I'm sure my cat would think me sitting on the couch 24/7 so she can sleep in my lap is reasonable.

  5. How cute and funny, love animal poems!

    My cat is very demanding!

Even though she has cat food in her bowl!

If there is not enough meaning full to the rim of the bowl, she will meow until I fill it up to her specifications before she will eat from her dish--Talk about picky!

    Cheers!!

  6. I loved this a lot as it was very vivid and i could almost see kittty running for her life.I think it really rocks and i give it a 10..

  7. My cat makes unreasonable demands and can't talk - God help us if he could!

  8. Owner isn't home yet

My food dish is lacking food

    Perhaps I will scratch him

    This string you dangle

In front of my furry cat face

    I must kill the string

    This odd crashing noise

    Ended in breaking china

    Must be the dog's fault
