  1. No, humans cannot interbreed with another species

    factors helping prevent this are:

    1. Number of chromosomes in gametes (haploid number)

    2. Receptors on the ovum's surface, recognizing sperm cell's shape

  2. I already know this, and yes,it has happened before,it was my ex husband Ed!

  3. Nothing.  We are the species homo sapiens.  Chimpanzees are simia troglodytes and gorillas have 2 species: gorilla gorilla and gorilla beringei.  Homo sapiens cannot mate with other species.

  4. NO! We are separate species and can not interbreed.

  5. Actually this cannot be done cauz we have derived from them throgh the process of evolution. For example once the toothpaste is out of the tube it can not be returned back to the tube.

  6. The problem with trying to hybridize humans and other apes is that humans have 22 autosomal chromosomes, and the other apes have 23 autosomes.  Two of the small chromosomes in the other apes have joined into one in humans.

This will prevent producing viable offspring.
