So lets say Supposedly China is having the Olympic games, then twenty five thousand out of the one hundred thousand soldiers rush onto the field and detain all foreigners who disagree with China's political stance, take them out of the stadium, put them in trucks and drive away.

How do you think the governments of the world would react to the detainment of their citizens and athletes?

  1. Well as long as we're supposing: I'd say the government leaders of the world would immediately don their white hoods and start burning some crosses! Then they'd tell everyone how Jesus will save them...or else! Then they'd invade a country that had nothing to do with this and occupy it. Then they'd find a new enemy to distract the morons who won't believe these pr**ks are morally bankrupt.

  2. They're communists. Before it is over, someone will be disappeard. That is just part of being a leftist.

  3. why not add and kills them

if someone is doing a criminal act, china will stop them and probably imprison them.............China doesn't really need the rst of the world.......

  4.   israel would bomb them, russia invade, US cry in the press and threaten, moves in carriers. rest watch and *****.  what's new?

  5. Ok, I’m not the political expert, but here goes…

    Negotiation/ talk:

Realistically, governments these days negotiate (or appear to). They won’t resort to war. These days, war is only fashionable when dealing with terrorists (Islamic militants.)

Additionally, foreign nations dare not attack China because it is highly valuable (financially.) More reason to negotiate.

    Athletes:

If you wonder about foreign athletes…I’d say, the only things that can get an athlete into trouble would be 1) drugs, or 2) political problems.

Drugs are an Olympic no-no, period, regardless of your flag’s colour.

As for political problems, I’ll cite Iraq as an example (of rejected athletes.)

    Strictness (non-western):

It is a fact that non-western countries stick to their own strict (sometimes barbaric) ways of doing things – even if, especially if it opposes the Western way.

    Press:

Any country that censures its press would close its ears to foreign ideas. We can complain – in vain. The censure boys would black it out before you even know it. For starters, journalists for Beijing 2008 should be prepared for China’s Internet ‘blackout.’
