  1. If water is made of water why isnt water blue? Get my drift...?when things are made of pure water they are never blue.

  2. Water isn't blue. The color of different types of water come from the way light is reflected or refracted from the mass of that type of water. Snow is white, clouds are white or gray, rain is clear.

  3. Water is only blue when it reflects a blue sky. Someone above explained why the sky is blue.

Clouds don't reflect the diffused light of the sky, because they consist of millions of tiny droplets, which reflect white light indirectly or block out the sun's light to become grey.

  4. A large number of small pieces of water will scatter the light and appear white.  Ocean spray and dew are examples.

  5. Sometimes clouds are a very dark blue.  These are storm clouds loaded with water and potential energy.

you are probably thinking about cumulous clouds--puffy white.  They are white because of reflecting a spectrum of wave lengths just like a white sheet.  The sky is blue because the particles in the atmosphere are reflecting radiation in the visible (blue part) region of the electromagnetic spectrum.

  6. is steam blue ?

    is water vapor blue ?

    is mist blue ?

    is fog blue?

    why should clouds be blue????

  7. because water isn't blue
