http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edinson-Cavani-c11955, the Vesuviani centre-forward, has reiterated his desire to remain with the Partenopei outfit and remarked that he’s determined to win the Serie A.
The Uruguayan international has been one of the most prolific strikers in all of Europe, let alone the Serie A, and was instrumental in the achievements that Napoli attained through last season. He was a colossal figure in the attack of the Partenopei outfit
and was instrumental in their endeavours in the UEFA Champions League and their success in the Coppa Italia.
The San Paolo outfit went on to lift the Italian Cup, and were on the brink of qualification into the Champions League, but lost out to Udinese on the last few match days of the Serie A. Cavani scored 33 goals for the Vesuviani outfit, and struck fear into
all the defences of the Italian domestic league as well as the European Champions League.
Such a prolific season meant that there was bound to be interest in the striker at the season’s end, and there was interest from many clubs in the striker. He went on to remark that he had heard about apparent interest in his abilities, but remarked that
his desire was to play for the Vesuviani outfit. He mentioned that the Italian Lega was an extremely competitive league, and it was one of the most difficult leagues to score in.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danubio-c38898 striker also went on to state that it was extremely hard to make their opponents commit mistakes, and that the teams were well organised and played with a proper structure.
He remarked:
“I’ve never thought about leaving http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 because this championship is still one of the most beautiful, fascinating and difficult in the world. All of the teams battle and it is not right to call it a mediocre championship. Tactically speaking, you always
find well organised teams on every pitch.”
He further remarked that if there was really that much interest in his abilities, the club would have been made an offer that they would not have found feasible to turn down. The striker was talking to Gazzetta dello Sport.
