If corporations were more concerned about letting their own workers prosper would the economy be better off?

If they had more income then the would the economy would be more prosperous? Would corporations ever try to pay their people more?

If the workers prospered, the company would be uncompetitive and eventually be out of business and the workers would be unemployed.

Yes the economy would be better off. Instead of giving some CEO sitting on his butt pushing a pencil a million dollar christmas bonus, why not give the bottom feeders a modest raise? I know all about overpaid CEO's and underpaid laborers. b******s!
