If cotto, clottey and williams can't hurt Margarito then Who can?

I'm watching cotto-margarito again on hbo..I seen the williams and clottey fight they did a lot against margarito, but never really had margarito in trouble or even hurt...Cotto is hitting margarito flush with some bombs and he's not even phased..Do you think it's anyone in the welterweight division that can hurt Margarito...Possibly berto, mosley, mayweather or etc...Clottey, Williams and Margarito are huge welters they should be fighting in the super welter, middleweight and super middleweight division..I think if they were fighting people their own size would be a different story I'm not hating i love their in the best division so much competition I'm just saying...What you all think?

It sounds like you're making a veiled excuse for Cotto. Mexican and black fighters have gone up many weight divisions and were succesful. Remember J.C. Chavez beating Puerto Rico's Angel Hernandez? Angel towered over Chavez, didn't he? Recall Roy Jones beating Puerto Rican John Ruiz? Duran-Barkley? Duran-Moore? Leonard-Hearns? Spinks-Holmes? Get over the Cotto loss and get well.

Daniel Santos hurt him before and if he, Margo, moves up to light-middle or middle he would get crushed. That's why he's camped out at this weight class and has not dared to move up. He's 5'11" and fighting guys who are between 5-6 and 5-9. It's an obvious advantage and he uses it.However, I would love to see another, Williams-Margo match or even him move up to face Pavlik! Talk about a barn-burner!

I definitely agree with you on Andre Berto having a chance against Margarito. But Paul Williams did beat him soundly, so maybe in a rematch the Punisher will knock him out. they could meet at a different weight and pacman will take him out!

No one can hurt him. You can only hope to outpoint him, as Paul Williams did. Antonio was starting to dominate that fight, but since he started so slowly, he couldn't make up the deficit.

electic dude box is not a science, is a brutal sport, if you want make it a science, well nobody will watch it. Who the h**l wants to see someone like floyd run around the ring and call it a smart boxer. If I want to see someone run I will go to a track and field competition.

no one in the ww division can hurt him. Daniel santos hurt margarito a little but that was at 154 and santos is a big strong puncher and would knock any other ww out. William slaps with his punches. You seen that marg will walk through cotto and clottey punches. If i had to say one person that has the chance would be Floyd Mayweather. Margarito would get hit more than he ever has by the fastest punches he's ever going to see(or not see lol) I think floyd would do a gattin on margarito only margarito is alot tougher and will keep coming and make it a great fight.

if you remember paul was the guy that got hurt in that fight,the majority of puches that paul was throwing were hitting margos gloves...and watch the 11th round...williams almost got dropped in that round...even though williams is the bigger guy,margo has a better chin and is tougher..a rematch between these 2 should be a classic...but andre berto would get koed by both margo & williams! have you seen the clottey vs margarito fight?  clottey was winning the first few rounds but as the fight progress, his hand was starting to hurt, which was already injured before the fight.  now that clottey beat zab judah, there is a good chance that clottey will get a rematch against margarito.  i predict that clottey will win against margarito by decision.

Boxing is not just about hurting people...it's a science, there is a method to it, there are many boxers who would not be able to hurt margarito but there are boxers who can out box him easily. Margarito is almost purely an offensive fighter who fights coming forward, he relies on his stamina and tough chin to survive, his offense is tough and relentless but he has some major flaws.....he leaves himself open for counter shots almost every time and he is not a very hard fighter to hit....sure he could withstand tough punches but if he gets hit with too many clean punches he could easily lose by decision...Cotto lost that fight because he was trying to knock margarito out and many people (including me ) thought he could do it....margarito withstood cotto's power and hit cotto hard enough to make him lose heart......a fighter like floyd would know better than staying there and trade punches with a man that much bigger and stronger naturally.....it is that kind of scientific (and smart) approach that separates boxers from punchers.....in boxing it is not always about who gets knocked out or who hits the hardest, it is about who boxes best and boxing is a sport that requires a lot more than power and toughness...it requires mental toughness and very sound decision making (at least in the ring).....Margarito is every puncher's nightmare because he is not a fighter that can be knocked out easily however a solid boxer could beat him by decision most of time.
