nothing of Iraq? That is but one subject. If his choice of VP, the person who would take over should anything happen to the president, is country first, that's downright scary. My opinion, it was a political pick pure and simple. She's a woman and if it wasn't for Hillary, she wouldn't be on the ticket. She's pro-life and pro-gun. She was picked because of her gender and her stances. Senator McCain by picking Palin shows just how desperate the GOP is this election. Country first? Really?

Who else thinks he considered the country first in picking Palin?

  1. This pick is so scary - her inexperience, and his poor judgement - these are the people who America might chose to lead us in these troubled times? I wouldn't believe it possible, except that we elected GWB twice...

  2. She's more qualified than obama, and actually visited the wounded trooops while in Iraq.

  3. Why should he think of country first? He needs to be elected. Ask the same thing of Obama and you will get one answer one day, another the next and something different another time, but at NO TIME, will he admit to changing his mind.

Obama is a socialist deep down. He will destroy this nation if he is elected. I may not like McCain but he can defeat Obama. At least McCain stands by his decisions- right or wrong. You gotta love that.

  4. So you don't think she can learn about Iraq AS VP... obviously, that's McCain's strong point. What are you expecting... that McCain drops dead the day he is sworn in? She can fill in her weak areas on-the-job. After all, she is the VP candidate, not the presidential candidate.

You don't think Biden was picked for his age and his experience to counterbalance Obama? Come on! ALL VPs are chosen to balance the weaknesses of the presidential candidate. If you think otherwise, you are incredibly naive.

There is no ONE best candidate, so obviously, the candidate can afford to pick the best candidate who ALSO has the characteristics she needs to balance the presidential candidate.

  5. McCain picked Palin because he wanted to steal Obama's thunder after his monumental convention speech.  And from all indicators, it worked.

  6. Any one of the other presidential candidate would have made me feel better and safer. It's not that I supported any of them but at least they all had more knowledge about the world including the US.

This pick has nothing to do with the good of America....it all has to do with trying to get the Hillary voters. (which would have never happened anyway because they weren't voting for her just because she's a women.)
