  1. If you really need to ask that question then your parents ought to complain to the school where you should have been taught basic things such as this.

    What DO they teach in schools nowadays?

  2. c=pi(r)squared

    you do the math.

    d=r x2

  3. 1/pi

  4. .318

    1/pi

    She's thinking of area.

    The area of a circle is pi x (r squared)

  5. Use the formula:

       circumference = pi x diameter

    Put into the formula what you know from the question:

          1 inch          = 3.1416 x d

           1/(3.1416)   = d.

    Now just divide 1 by 3.1416 and you'll have the answer.

            0.318         = d.

  6. 2*pi*r = Circumference

    with r the radius.

    2*pi*r = d*pi

    with d the diameter since diameter = 2*radius

    So circumference = d*pi

    Diameter = d = circumference/pi.
