  1. So how do you suggest we do this? All leave our houses and go and live under a tree in a forest or something? How do you think we would catch our food? We lack the skills needed to survive in the wild and there would be thousands of us competing for a tiny amount of 'wild' animals to eat/ nuts and berries to gather.

Do you envisage we should just let our cities rot and lie derelict and empty? I don't understand how you imagine the logistics of all this will work.

  2. Many Amish wonder about the very same thing.  They live with very little technology and use horses and buggies for most of their transportation.  They do not rely upon electricity for lighting or heat and cooling.  They do; however, have very large families to help with farm chores.  Most babies are born at home and some mothers are lost to childbirth complications.  One of my Amish friends died having her 14th child at home.

One of the previous answerers mentioned that due to the sheer number of people on the earth now it would be very difficult to manage in that fashion; however, with croup, childbirth, raw milk, and house fires our population would not be so large.  Are you willing to give up your comfort in order to live so primitively?  No pampers, no plastic pants, no automation, no indoor plumbing?

Be careful of what you wish for -- you just might get it!!

  3. It's to do with the numbers of us.

  4. if they survived so well why are there not more of them around

  5. Are you willing to go out and hunt a dinosaur so you can eat?

  6. We could quite easily do it, apart from some technology saves lives which wouldn't be saved back then.

We've advanced too much, and not necessarily for the better.

But i believe advancement does happen for a reason a bit like evolution.

  7. Because an ipod would be too awkward for a T-Rex to use.
