Wouldn't matter to me as I drink water when I got out.  It's a lot cheaper and better for you.

Free drinks don't get me in the door if the food isn't excellent.  It's not my "favorite restaurant" if the food is "so-so", anyway.

Absolutely.

I tend not to drink at home and don't really go to bars anymore...too hard to get a stool in NYC bars. I love going to local restaurants a couple of times a week. We order a bunch of appetizers and bottles of wine. Hanging with friends for hours is the goal.

The food may not be fantastic but the drinks keep the conversation flowing. Free booze would keep us there longer and make us loyal to a certain place because of the gesture.

Always tip your server for good service even if the bill is smaller due to free booze!!

if the food is so so i would imagine the drinks are so so also, especially being free. guess i would try it out if i was desperate to drink
