If one hour per year makes such an impact, think about making a conscious effort to do it once a month...how much of an impact do you think that it would have if enough people started doing it that often...

    This whole thing was a meaningless feel good stunt which accomplished nothing.  Developing economically viable new energy sources requires hard work and not sitting around in the dark with candles singing Kumbaya and feeling superior.
