  1. Since she is in favor of drilling in Alaska, I'd say yes.

  2. We can only hope so.

  3. Her husband works for BP, and she favors drilling in ANWR.  You can bet your a** the doors will be wide open.  But I'll make you a bet right now - they can suck Alaska dry and it's not going to bring the price of gas down 1 cent.

  4. We can hope. Or at least those of us that don't want to pay 10.00/gallon gas.

I really wish Democrats would stop using our gasoline, they are such hypocrites.

  5. h**l yeah, her husband works on the pipeline. Drill here, drill now!

  6. It is a strong possibility...if not because she was from Alaska or has ties to oil companies, it probably will happen due to rising pressure (a large majority of Americans now support the idea of domestic drilling), or because both McCain and Palin support the idea of drilling.

As a side note, I am tired of people saying "domestic drilling will not lower gas prices even a bit".

While that might be true, that is not the main point of domestic drilling. We currently send TRILLIONS of dollars to Saudi Arabia (the world's leading exporter of oil, right behind Russia) every year...would you not want those trillions of dollars to go to American companies, stimulation the AMERICAN economy?

It has nothing to do with gas prices...it has everything do to with securing America's economic future.

  7. in fact, her husband is an oil production operator for BP on Alaska's North Slope). She said earlier this week, "When I look every day, the big oil company's building is right out there next to me, and it's quite a reminder that we should have mutually beneficial relationships with the oil industry."

I would say she was hand picked by the oil industry.
