McCain and the Republicans have been against provisions that would strengthen guarantees of equal pay for equal work for women.

  1. Ha!  Good one.  Palin is against women's rights, so I imagine she'll 'take it like a woman'.  After all, she's against a woman's right to choose, and you can tell from her house full of kids, and a knocked up 17 year old daughter, that she walks the walk.  She's got a son ready to head over to Iraq; Cindy Sheehan, eat your heart out.  Sarah Palin's gender is about as significant to her record as Clarence Thomas' s race is to his.

  2. Well looks like shes up for the job, shes obviously committed

  3. Apparently yes. They are A-Ok with that

  4. Actually, you're off base hun. When elected as governor, Palin gave herself a pay-CUT, sold the governor's jet and put the profits from the jet back into the pockets of those that she governed. She's known for not caring how much she makes but how well her people are taken care of. And the republican party isn't agains equality. They believe that if a male and female can do the exact same job with the exact same effort and the exact same result, then and only then can equal pay be attainable. If you gave a higher position to a woman and she didn't earn it and slacks and then passed up a male who was doing the same job but much better and with more conviction, would't you say that is a bit sexist?

    EDIT:

The reason they're turning down the bill is because if they appove of it then they'd be admitting that women make less in the work force than men do. There are already laws into place that say everyone must be at equal opportunity for all jobs and all salaries. So by signing this bill, that'd be like shooting a dead horse. There's already equality in the workforce. I'm proof of that. I do my job well and sometimes better than my male coworkers and I actually make more than them. Work for what you want in this country and there are already laws in place saying you'll have equality in all. If not, then you have the right to sue. Which is what absolutely everyone does sweetie.
