  1. energy is every were it cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be transformed to other types of energy, when you see oil in a barrel it just stays there but it has an enormous potential of transformation to be created into energy. energy in that barrel is transformed to create an explosion which powers our vehicles, a plant provides us with energy, how, we eat its fruits and it gives us energy, the plant itself takes its energy from the sun which gets its energy by the pressure that it has. in case that there is an energy crisis it is most probably because people are looking for other ways to get energy besides fossil fuels. hence a transformation of another type of energy, the sun and the wind. although we have been using them for hundreds of years(windmills) we haven't attempted to create so much energy with them. so the problem occurs when we don't know how to extract more energy out of these new options.

  2. The almighty dollar!!!

  3. The issue isn't about the existence of energy per se. Rather, the energy crisis revolves around the cost of extruding it and refining it. It doesn't help matters that we, meaning humanity, are using energy at an increasingly rapid rate, especially in places like China and India. The demand for oil is exceeding the current supply and it will cost so much more to extrude what oil the planet still has.

There are enough oil reserves for probably another hundred years or so; however, we have already used up the easily obtainable oil and are now down to having to extract the difficult-to-find oil.

Thus, the crisis isn't about the amount of energy available but the cost of getting it.

  4. well  physically speaking, energy cannot be created or lost true. but the crisis is a crisis for the human racebecause there are only a limited amount of energy sources that we are capable of using. if you are familiar with what Einstein said; E=MC(2) you would know that any amount of matter will have unlimited amount of energy. but the problem is we cannot HARNESS it! hence the crisis :)

  5. It is true that energy cannot be created or lost in terms of physics, but the energy crisis is due to the use of natural non renewable energy sources like coal, petrol etc, which we are using in a huge amount.

A time will come when all the non renewable energy will finished and this is energy crisis.

  6. i actually dont know.!

  7. The statement you're thinking of is MATTER cannot be created or lost.     Our sun emits huge amounts of energy constantly, but we rely on limited fossil fuels to run our vehicles and domestic electricity.

  8. dont' know

  9. bcoz it is not in form which we can use... seee we have lots of hydrogen gas(water).. but we can't use it so..

  10. "energy cannot be created or lost"  is true in context of Physics  , but if you are talking about natural resources of energy like Petrol, Diesel or some other then you are talking about ENERGY RESOURCES not the ENERGY

  11. its not the same kind of energy. what you are talking about is natural engery.

  12. energy crisis has come into existence because of careless exploitation of the non-renewable energy sources by the human beings in the past few centuries. today these non-renewable energy sources are depleting at a fast rate.

for example in india the gasoline(petrol) charges are likely to go up by about Rs.17. this sort of hike takes place when the crude oil availability is going down.

very recently we have started to exploit the renewable energy sources. it will take time to generate energy in the reqd. form as the equipments presently existing are having low efficiency apart from the limitations i.e. the weather does not remain the same throughout the year in any particular region.

till we develop systems that can harness such sources very efficiently we have to save the non-renewable ones which are the only efficient sources we have today.

non-renewable sources are depleting fast as consumption is increasing. hence you have an energy crisis i.e. if left untreated the non-renewable energy sources will deplete shortly. we haven't yet figured out an effective and stable energy source that can replace the existing non-renewable sources of energy.

  13. It is due to the conversion of useful energy into other forms for which we have not yet devised a method to trap it for our dail needs

  14. In short~  Poor energy harnessing techniques.

It's true that energy can not be created or lost.  Energy bi-products are not efficiently collected for reuse.

For example (simple), we eat for energy.  If we use the energy by running (kenetic), our body temperature increases (thermal) and we perspire to cool ourselves off.  Some moisture evaporates, some is absorbed into our clothes, some drips off the body.

We could potentially collect our perspiration and use it to provide energy for something else, couldn't we?  Sure it's a bit gross, but certainly with a bit of thought and modification, we could power our vehicles with perspiration...

It may be a stretch but the point is that humans aren't efficient at harnessing waste energy.

Other examples are steam and smoke from factories, exhaust from our vehicles, noise from shopping trolleys, human waste, pet waste, heat from household appliances...

  15. Energy cannot be created or lost, it can be transformed.  Solar energy can be transformed to electrical energy by using solar cells.  Transforming energy will cost.  You have to buy and install solar panels to convert solar energy to electrical energy.  That's why we have an energy crisis.  There is a cost in transforming energy.

  16. It gets wasted when you ask questions like these. The energy gets so fed up that it dissappears. ... And dissappearance of energy, due to asking such questions, creates crisis.
