  1. Vladovic, You dont have to park a mile from wk to save a mile. You only have to park half a mile away. You walk half a mile from your car to get to wk then half a mile back to get back to your car.

Half a mile is not far to walk at all. I like the Idea. It has both enviromental and health benifets.

  2. With 265,258,321 registered drivers and average mpg at 19.783 :   roughly 2,652,485 gallons.  This does not include illegal drivers and non-residents,  add 154,258 more gallons.

    Source: guess

Not all drivers drive everyday though,  so they would have to get out more then drive less than planned.

  3. And I'm not going to pull up a mile short of work and walk the rest of the way while someone steals my scoot.

  4. My calculations tell me about 4 million gallons of gasoline per day. That is about  480 billion BTU.

The problem is that I or anyone else cannot move my house one mile closer to work.
